Untitled (Salamander Collage) - March 2026
I imagine this is probably normal (even unremarkable), but since my 19th birthday, I've become very existential. This collage spawned from a simple thought: 'what if Heaven is real, but only for salamanders?' The central subject, then, is an imagined 'salamander god'. It draws elements from Diplocaulus, an animal that was on my mind at the time, as well as lobe-finned fish and eels which are recurring motifs throughout my work.
Untitled (Pipefish Collage) - February 2026
This is the first artwork depicting the reccuring pipefish character. I drew this in one long session while listening to Rarity Fighting a Giant Crab by Cats Millionaire on repeat. Veterans of the so-called 'brony' subculture may recognise that concept as a common gag in the early days of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fandom. In the song by Cats Millionaire, the pony Rarity overpowers and kills the giant crab, who was helplessly in love with her. While drawing, I was unsure if I felt more like Rarity or the giant crab.
Obviously, the pipefish represents my attitude towards my own substance use at that time, and it was something that I desperately loved and, at once, wanted to violently destroy.
Oh look. nothing - December 2025
This work may be considered something of a 'vent' artwork, which may detract from it for some. The character of bird boy does not reoccur; he is a manifestation of my state at time of drawing rather than a character in his own right.
At this time, I was a few months sober, but drew this following my first (and so far only) relapse.
ficficficfic - September 2025
This is my first drawing of the character Togore. If you are not familiar with him, he is a fan-made character for Undertale / Deltarune who I am particularly attached to. From the point of drawing this and onwards, Togore has been adopted as a representation of myself throughout my works.
He shows up more in the paintings section.
1½ fish - June 2025
This is a fairly simple MSPaint drawing, utilising only the default colours and pencil tool. It depicts two of my characters, The Eel Prince (with whom you are no doubt familiar by this point) and Anemone, the half-fish-half-ram. Hence the title.
The little poem, CH-1060 is born from Microsoft™ Paint, might be thought of as a description of the scene. The Eel Prince and Anemone are aspects of myself, swimming through the digital sea. The inclusion of the bubbles.scr screensaver at once creates dimensionality while also serving as a blatant reminder of their limitation to the plane of Windows 10. Haha.
